Concerns Of The Last Days

praying handsGod’s people today are born again Christians. They are the ONLY ones who’s prayer He will hear.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) If my people, which are called by my name (Christians), shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

The above verse gives 4 conditions for His forgiveness and healing: Humility, Prayer, Seeking HIS face & turning from sins.

If we are in the last days (and with all the wars, immorality, natural disasters, disease, etc it certainly looks to be so) then there will be no stopping of God’s judgment on the United States because she is just another country in the world which He has promised to destroy for their sin.

2 Peter 3:7,12 (KJV) But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

We need to be concerned and praying for His churches all over the world.

1 Peter 4:17 (KJV) For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

The verse above tells us that judgment will begin in the “house of God.” Compare 1 Timothy 3:15 (KJV) But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

We need to be concerned with His church. The Bible clearly tells us that is where the judgment of God will begin. I believe it has already begun.

All of the sins that God warned us about lust of flesh, eyes and pride have camped out in our local churches. (1 John 2:15-17 (KJV) Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.)

Preachers have become like those of Jeremiah’s day. (Lamentations 4:13-14 (KJV) For the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, that have shed the blood of the just in the midst of her, 14 They have wandered as blind men in the streets, they have polluted themselves with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.)

Well, we are in the Laodicean Age and therefore are to expect God’s people to think they are okay even in their sin.

We are in the last days of “tickle my ears” Christianity.

2 Timothy 4:1-4 (KJV) I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers (Note: teachers not preachers), having itching ears (only scratch where we say it itches); 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

We are in the last days of “lukewarm” Christianity.

Revelation 3:14-22 (KJV) And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

However, note that He is standing at the door trying to get in. (v 20 above)

The Lord asks, “. . .when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8 (KJV)

I believe some will overcome and open the door allowing Him to enter and dine with them.

I believe He has His faithful remnant in the New Testament as He had in the Old. Romans 11:4 (KJV) But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

God’s born again believers need to pray & support solid pastors & churches that preach the Gospel. They need to humble themselves, seek God’s face and turn from their sins.

Hebrews 10:23-25 (KJV) Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

1 John 2:28-3:3 (KJV) And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. 1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Pray that born again Christians will “abide in Him” so that when “He shall appear” they will “not be ashamed.” The way we do that is to live in the “hope” of appearance “purifing” (turn from their wicked ways) themselves ready to meet the “pure” Christ.
