MEMORY VERSE(S):

(Deu 7:9) Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

MARCH 1

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Deuteronomy 6:13 - 9:14

HYMN - # 73 “At the Name of Jesus”

THOUGHT - MEN SHOULD SWEAR BY NOT WITH HIS NAME.

VERSE(S) - (Deu 6:13-14) Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name. {14} Ye shall not go after other gods. . .

ELABORATION - Have you trusted in the name of Jesus Christ? “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) If you have, you now have the one and only true God. You can swear by that!

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

MARCH 2

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Deuteronomy 9:15 - 12:9

HYMN - # 565 “I Am Praying for You”

THOUGHT - HAVE YOU PRAYED FOR SOMEONE TODAY?

VERSE(S) - (Deu 9:20) And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.

ELABORATION - Many times we tend to “shy away” from those who are obviously in violation of God’s will. No one is so far away from God that we cannot pray for them. We must pray for and witness to the sinner nearest hell. Jesus can save them!

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

MARCH 3

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Deuteronomy 12:10 - 14:29

HYMN - # 608 “Trust, Try and Prove Me”

THOUGHT - GOD GIVES US 100% AND ASKS 10% IN RETURN.

VERSE(S) - (Deu 14:22) Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.

ELABORATION - Tithe literally means 10%. All that we have has been given to us from God. He gave us life. He offers us Eternal Life through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus gave ALL for us. What is 10% of our time, talents and treasures compared to that?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

MARCH 4

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Deuteronomy 15-17

HYMN - # 644 “Help Somebody Today”

THOUGHT - GIVING TO THE NEEDY IS OPPORTUNITY NOT DIFFICULTY

VERSE(S) - (Deu 15:11) For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

ELABORATION - No system will ever rid mankind with those who are needy. We are all poor in the things of the Lord. That is why Jesus came to make us rich in Him. Have you received His bountiful gift of eternal life? Why not?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

MARCH 5

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Deuteronomy 18:1 - 21:9

HYMN - # 685 “I’ve Got a Mansion”

THOUGHT - IS HEAVEN THE HOME OF THE LORD YOUR INHERITANCE?

VERSE(S) - (Deu 18:2) Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.

ELABORATION - Is a home in heaven in your future? (Rom 8:16-17) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: {17} And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Trust Christ and become a member of God’s family and joint heir with Him!

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

MARCH 6

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Deuteronomy 21:10 - 23:25

HYMN - # 724 “For God So Loved the World”

THOUGHT - OUR LOVING GOD WILL TURN CURSES INTO BLESSINGS.

VERSE(S) - (Deu 23:5) Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.

ELABORATION - Because of sin men are cursed with all of creation. However, The loving heavenly Father has made provision. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) Believe and receive a blessing!

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

MARCH 7

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Deuteronomy 24-27

HYMN - # 147 “Why?”

THOUGHT - JUDGES APPOINTED BY MEN SERVE UNDER GOD

VERSE(S) - (Deu 25:1) If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

ELABORATION - The judge of all the universe is over the affairs of men. Just judgment is a priority with God. God has declared that. “. . .all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:23) and that, “. . . the wages of sin is death” He then sent His Son to pay the debt and give men a gift, “. . . but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Rom 6:23) Just judgment has been passed. Payment has been made. Now we must accept that payment? Have you?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Lord’s Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

(Deu 4:29) But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

FEBRUARY 23

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Numbers 23:13-26:41

HYMN - # 723 “Jesus Christ Is The Way”

THOUGHT - GOD IS NOT THE “BIG GUY” IN THE SKY!!!

VERSE(S) - (Num 23:19) God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

ELABORATION - Men always seem to try to bring God down to their level. God is Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.(John 4:24) When we try to put God on par with man He ceases to be God. “. . .let God be true, but every man a liar. . .” The truth is that all men need Jesus Christ “THE TRUTH.”

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 24

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Numbers 26:42-29:25

HYMN - # 142 “Blessed Redeemer”

THOUGHT - GOD IS PRIMARILY CONCERNED WITH OUR SOUL & SPIRIT’S DESTINY.

VERSE(S) - (Num 27:16) Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

ELABORATION - Too much emphasis is placed on the flesh. We do have to live in it and God does care about our physical well being. However, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, in the flesh to redeem our sinful flesh from sin because that is His number one concern. Have you received His Son as your Savior?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 25

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Numbers 29:26-32:24

HYMN - # 454 “Follow On”

THOUGHT - ARE YOU WHOLLY FOLLOWING THE LORD? DO EVEN CARE TO?

VERSE(S) - (Num 32:12) Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD.

ELABORATION - Joshua & Caleb were two among 12 spies. Ten did not believe the Lord could give them the promised land. These two say the beauty and bounty of the land and KNEW by FAITH God could do it. They then received the blessings for “wholly following the LORD.” Follow the Holy Spirit to Jesus and then follow Jesus to God.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 26

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Numbers 32:25-35:14

HYMN - # 785 “Yes, I Know”

VERSE(S) - (Num 32:31) And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy servants, so will we do.

ELABORATION - The Heavenly father said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.” The beloved Son said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. .Suffer the little children to come unto me. .of such is the kingdom of God. . .If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. (Mat 17:5; 11:28; Mar 10:14; Jn 7:37)

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 27

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Numbers 35:15 - Deuteronomy 2:8

HYMN - # 293 “O, Lord, Send a Revival”

THOUGHT - GOD HAS BEEN PLEASED TO DWELL AMONG AMERICANS.

VERSE(S) - (Num 35:34) Defile not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel.

ELABORATION - Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. (Prov 14:34) The apparent fall of “Americans” away from the God of our forefathers may just cause Him to become displeased and leave us to ourselves. The cure is for many to come to the Lord through His Son Jesus Christ and regain their powerful influence.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 28

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Deuteronomy 2:9 - 4:19

HYMN - # 292 “Nothing Between”

THOUGHT - THERE ARE LORDS & GODS MANY BUT ONLY ONE ALMIGHTY GOD!

VERSE(S) - (Deu 3:24) O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to show thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?

ELABORATION - The answer to the question above is, “absolutely none!” One day “. . .at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; {11} And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil 2:10-11) Why wait until that day when you can do it now?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 29

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Deuternonmy 4:20-6:12

HYMN - # 763 “Trust Him”

ELABORATION - But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:12) What does that verse have to do with the question above? Everything, If you are not a member of His family He is not “your” God. Trust Jesus today and have the fire of God over and upon you.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Lord’s Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

VERSE(S) - (Num 7:10) And the princes offered for dedicating of the altar in the day that it was anointed, even the princes offered their offering before the altar.

ELABORATION - All must consider their estate in relation to the Lord and submit to His status that is far above all men. Priest & King; Prince & Pauper; Rich & Poor all must recognize their need of the Lord and trust Christ as savior. Then and only then they may offer unto Him!

VERSE(S) - (Num 10:2) Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.

ELABORATION - God has set apart one day a week for Him. That is the first day, Sunday, the day upon which Christ arose. Where are those faithful Christian families that would dress up in their “Sunday best” and follow the ringing of the bells to church?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 19

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Numbers 13 - 15:16

HYMN - # 744 “He’s Able”

VERSE(S) - (Num 13:27-28) And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. {28} Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.

ELABORATION - Moses told them to see if the land be good or bad. They came back and said it was very good. Nevertheless we cannot have it because of the strength of the people. With God nothing is a “nevertheless” or impossible. God was able to save you from you sins through Jesus Christ and now He is more than able to conquer the giants of despair in your life!

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 20

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Numbers 15:17 - Chapter 17

VERSE(S) - (Num 16:28) And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.

ELABORATION - The Bible says; “This know also, that in the last days . . . men shall be lovers of their own selves . . . (2 Tim 3:1-2). We need to love the Lord who died for us! Trust Jesus as you savior and then seek “the mind of Christ” (1 Cor 2:16).

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 21

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Numbers 18-20

HYMN - # 192 “One Day”

THOUGHT - A PICTURE OF CHRIST’S FIRST AND SECOND COMING

ELABORATION - The first time Christ came to earth he was beaten and crucified (Exo 17:6). The second time He will come as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and must be addressed (spoken to). Have you received the crucified and coming King Jesus Christ?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Lord’s Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

This Week’s Question: _____ True or False? All of the princes of the tribes both small and large offered the same in Chapter 7 of Numbers.

Bible Trivia: Answer: Next week.

REMEMBER TO START YOU DAY WITH THE BIBLE AND PRAY!

MEMORY VERSE(S):
(Lev 17:11) For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

FEBRUARY 9

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Leviticus 16-18

HYMN - # 133 “Wonderful to me”

THOUGHT - WE MAY COME INTO THE HOLY PLACE TODAY BECAUSE HE DIED YESTERDAY!

VERSE(S) - (Lev 16:2) And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the veil before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.

ELABORATION - (Heb 4:14&16) Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. {16} Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Two thousand years ago Jesus died for our sins that we may now come boldly into the presence of The Father in His name. Trust Christ and receive this privilege.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 10

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Leviticus 19-21

HYMN - # 644 “Help Somebody Today”

THOUGHT - GOD SAYS THAT HIS PEOPLE ARE TO CARE FOR THE POOR.

VERSE(S) - (Lev 19:9-10) And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest. {10} And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape, of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor, and stranger: I am the LORD your God.

ELABORATION - If God’s children would be following His Word there would be no need for Government aid to the poor. Because we have become greedy and selfish those needs have arisen. God makes provision for the poor in spirit as well. God’s children are to share the good news that Jesus died for them.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 11

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Leviticus 22-23

HYMN - # 418 “Faith Is the Victory”

THOUGHT - GOD LOVES WILLING TRUST.

VERSE(S) - (Lev 22:29) And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, offer it at your own will.

ELABORATION - True belief is willing belief. True faith is voluntary faith. No one can force others or themselves into a true relationship with God. Christ’s says, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Mat 11:28) “whosoever will” may come!

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 12

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Leviticus 24 - 26:13

HYMN - # 49 “Blessed Be the Name”

THOUGHT - THE LORD WILL NOT HOLD HIM GUILTLESS THAT TAKETH HIS NAME IN VAIN.

VERSE(S) - (Lev 24:15) And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.

ELABORATION - This is the 3rd Commandment. Why do we use God’s and His Son’s (Jesus Christ) names as curse words? Why not trust in His Son as your savior and then use their names with reverence and awe?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 13

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Leviticus 26:14 - Numbers 1:21

HYMN - # 429 “Held in His Mighty Arms”

THOUGHT - IT IS A FEARFUL THING TO FALL INTO THE HANDS OF THE LIVING GOD.

VERSE(S) - (Lev 26:27-28) And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; {28} Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

ELABORATION - The above thought is a quote of Hebrews 10:31. Why would we wish to live this life without God when we could live it with Him? “My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.” (John 10:29) Trust Christ and be placed into instead of under the Father’s hand.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 15

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Numbers 3:27 - Chapter 4

HYMN - # 151 “Behold the Man of Galilee”

THOUGHT - THE ARK HAS BEEN UNCOVERED SINCE THE DEATH OF CHRIST

VERSE(S) - (Num 4:5) And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering veil, and cover the ark of testimony with it:

ELABORATION - (Mark 15:37-38) And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost (died). {38} And the veil of the temple was rent (torn) in twain from the top to the bottom. We now have access through His precious blood shed on the cross of Calvary. Trust Him today and enter freely before the ark and mercy seat of God.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Lord’s Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

HYMN - # 394 “What a Wonderful Savior”

THOUGHT - DO YOU REMEMBER WHAT CHRIST HAS DONE FOR YOU?

VERSE(S) - (Lev 6:13) The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.

ELABORATION - No fire no sacrifice. No zeal no service. The following verse tells us to “be ready always.” (1 Pet 3:15) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 5

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Leviticus 7:28 - Chapter 9

HYMN - # 204 “Christ Returneth”

THOUGHT - WHAT IF HE APPEARED TODAY?

(1 John 3:2-3) . . .when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. {3} And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. To trust Christ as savior is to be “purified” or washed from our sins. Are you ready?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 6

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Leviticus 10-12

HYMN - # 723 “Jesus Christ Is the Way”

THOUGHT - IS THE FIRE ON YOU HEART THE WRONG FIRE?

VERSE(S) - (Lev 10:1)And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange(foreign) fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.

ELABORATION - The Bible says that there are ways to God cooked up by men that lead to spiritual death not everlasting life. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Prov 14:12) Jesus said, “. . .I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6) That is clear enough!

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 7

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Leviticus 13 - 14:18

HYMN - # 805 “Worthy Is the Lamb”

THOUGHT - THE PERFECT SACRIFICIAL LAMB, JESUS, HAS BEEN OFFERED FOR SINS.

VERSE(S) - (Lev 13:45) And the leper in whom the plague is . . . shall cry, Unclean, unclean. (Lev 14:12) And the priest shall take one he lamb, and offer him for a trespass offering . . .

ELABORATION - Leprosy is a picture of sin. As it spreads so does sin. Lambs were sacrificed as to make one clean from leprosy. God has sent His Son to be sacrificed to cleanse men from their sins. Have you accepted this cleansing?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 8

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Leviticus 14:19 - Chapter 15

HYMN - # 57 “Cleanse Me”

THOUGHT - THERE IS BLACK AND WHITE WITH GOD!

VERSE(S) - (Lev 14:57) To teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean: this is the law of leprosy.

ELABORATION - There is a difference between good & bad, holy & profane, clean & unclean etc. God is good, clean & holy. Man is bad, unclean & profane. (Ezek 44:23) And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. Any man, woman, boy or girl can become clean by trusting Jesus as their savior. Are you clean?

Bible Trivia: Answer: Next week.

REMEMBER TO START YOU DAY WITH THE BIBLE AND PRAY!

MEMORY VERSE(S):

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS: 1st Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 2nd Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image. 3rd Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain. 4th Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 5th Honour thy father and thy mother. 6th Thou shalt not kill. 7th Thou shalt not commit adultery. 8th Thou shalt not steal. 9th Thou shalt not bear false witness. 10th Thou shalt not covet.

JANUARY 26

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Exodus 22-24

HYMN - # 5 “O Day of Rest and Gladness”

THOUGHT - SUNDAY IS TO BE A DAY OF REST NOT WORK!

VERSE(S) - (Exo 23:12) Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

ELABORATION - There was a day when Sunday was honored by all Americans. What has happened? Christ arose on the first day of the week to free men from the bondage of sin. Why not follow his example and not be in bondage on His day?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

JANUARY 27

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Exodus 25-26

HYMN - # 159 “Nailed to the Cross”

THOUGHT - GOD WILLINGLY SENT HIS SON - WHY NOT WILLINGLY OFFER TO HIM?

VERSE(S) - (Exo 25:2) Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

ELABORATION - The Bible says, “. . . God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2 Cor 9:7) When one has truly trusted Christ as Savior he will bring offerings to Him of a free heart.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

JANUARY 28

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Exodus 27 - 29:14

HYMN - # 221 “More Holiness Give Me”

THOUGHT - HOLINESS - WHAT IS THAT?

VERSE(S) - (Exo 28:36) And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

ELABORATION - Today the idea of “holiness” is lost. Can anyone think of anything/anyone they would consider holy? If me would believe in a Holy God that would require them to be accountable to Him. Have you recognized a God in heaven that requires you to pay for your sins? If so, then you need to accept His payment for those sins - The Lord Jesus Christ!

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

JANUARY 29

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Exodus 29:15 - Chapter 30

HYMN - # 185 “Jesus Paid It All”

THOUGHT - THE PRICE OF SIN IS THE SAME FOR ALL.

VERSE(S) - (Exo 30:15) The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls.

ELABORATION - “For all have sinned, and . . . the wages (price) of sin is death. . .” This is not only physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God for all eternity in the lake of fire. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners (in debt), Christ died for us. Accept God’s payment for your sin - Christ! (Rom 3:23; 6:23; 5:8)

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

JANUARY 30

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Exodus 31-33

HYMN - # 460 “Only One Life”

THOUGHT - THE TEN COMMANDMENTS WERE WRITTEN BY GOD!

VERSE(S) - (Exo 31:18) And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

ELABORATION - What is the fuss over the ten commandments? They were written by our Creator. He knows that by following them we will “have a life.” Do you “have a life?” Trust Christ and establish a “fatherly” relationship with the Creator. Then follow His rules. It won’t hurt, honest!

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

JANUARY 31

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Exodus 34 - 36:18

HYMN - # 394 “What a Wonderful Savior”

THOUGHT - WE HAVE A MERCIFUL, GRACIOUS, PATIENT, GOOD, TRUTHFUL AND FORGIVING GOD!

VERSE(S) - (Exo 34:6-7) And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, {7} Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin . . .

ELABORATION - There is not much more to say. The Old and New Testament God is a loving God. Why not trust His Son as Savior and learn about Him?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

FEBRUARY 1

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Exodus 36:19-39:14

HYMN - # 610 “Give of Your Best to The Master”

THOUGHT - GOD’S LADIES SACRIFICING TO BUILD HIS TABERNACLE.

VERSE(S) - (Exo 38:8) And he made the laver of brass, and the foot of it of brass, of the lookingglasses of the women assembling, which assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

ELABORATION - Ladies must NEVER underestimate their importance in God’s plan. After all it was a woman, Mary, that brought God’s gift into this world. Now all may come to God through Him - Jesus. Thank you ladies.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Lord’s Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

ELABORATION - People dream up many gods however read the following from God's Word. "For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) {6} But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him." (1 Cor 8:5-6)

JANUARY 13

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Genesis 36:20-38

HYMN - # 566 "He's the One"

THOUGHT - ISRAEL'S KING WAS THE LORD - THE ONLY ONE WE NEED.

VERSE(S) - (Gen 36:31) And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.

ELABORATION - ". . . they said, Give us a king to judge us. . . {7} And the LORD said . . . they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them." (1 Sam 8:6-7) Have you rejected His desire to rule in you life? He deserves your love and devotion!

PRAYER

Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

JANUARY 14

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Genesis 39-41:44

HYMN - # 299 "Once It Was the Blessing"

THOUGHT - JOSEPH WAS PROSPEROUS BECAUSE GOD WAS WITH HIM!

VERSE(S) - (Gen 39:2) And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

ELABORATION - God is real and loves all men. Accept His Son Jesus as your redeemer and become a member of His family. Then walk with Him and be prosperous primarily "spiritually" and also physically.

PRAYER

Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

JANUARY 15

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Genesis 41:45-43

HYMN - # 360 "Look and Live"

THOUGHT - "THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM . . ."(Prov 9:10)

VERSE(S) - (Gen 42:18) And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do,and live; for I fear God:

ELABORATION - "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. . ." (Psa 14:1) The one who believes there is a God is without wisdom (foolish) to not fear (have a healthy respect for) Him. It all starts at the cross of Christ. Have you come to Him?

PRAYER

Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

JANUARY 16

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Genesis 44-46

HYMN - # 744 "He's Able"

THOUGHT - GOD IS ABLE TO TURN THE WRATH OF MAN INTO SAVING GRACE.

VERSE(S) - (Gen 45:5) Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. (See Genesis 50:20)

ELABORATION - These same brothers of Joseph had sold him into slavery and lied to their father by telling Jacob that Joseph had died. God turned this around by making Joseph ruler in Egypt who then was able to save his family from death through starvation. Men angrily crucified Christ and now His grace is bestowed on all who come to Him. Have you done that? GOD IS GOOD!

PRAYER

Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

JANUARY 17

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Genesis 47-49

HYMN - # 663 "Make Me a Blessing"

THOUGHT - GOD'S MAN BLESSED THE KING OF EGYPT.

VERSE(S) - (Gen 47:7) And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.

ELABORATION - Two thoughts come to mind here. Jacob blessed a "heathen" non "godfearing" king and a "lesser" man (Jacob) actually is able to bless a "greater" (Pharaoh). In God's plan He is in complete control. Pharaoh had already been bless because of Joseph and this added blessing
from God's man would further prosper this great king. Pharaoh's false gods could never accomplish this!

PRAYER

Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

JANUARY 18

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Genesis 50 - Exodus 2

HYMN - # 160 "Are You Washed In The Blood"

THOUGHT - DEPART FROM ME FOR I NEVER KNEW YOU.

VERSE(S) - (Exo 1:8) Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.

ELABORATION - Joseph is a clear picture of Jesus Christ. This "new' king of Egypt did not know Joseph. He surely knew of him but did not know him. Jesus rebukes men who never "knew" Him. "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." (Mat 7:23) Knowing "of" Jesus is not enough. You need to know Him personally. Do you?

PRAYER

Have a GREAT Lord's Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

VERSE(S) - (Gen 18:14) Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

ELABORATION - God has told Abram and Sarai that they are going to have a child at ages 100 & 90 respectively. That was impossible even then. However, God is able. He took a virgin nearly 1900 years later and gave her a child without a man's involvement. This virgin born boy became the saviour of the world.

THOUGHT - GOD ONLY KNOWS!

VERSE(S) - (Gen 27:2) And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death:

ELABORATION - The hour appointed for our departure from this life is unknown to all but the creator. Do you have a relationship with Him? You need to in order to share His home in heaven when you leave this earth. Trust Christ NOW!

VERSE(S) - (Gen 30:27) And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake.

ELABORATION - Here Laban realized that Jacob had brought him prosperity. Proper treatment of God's people can bring blessing or cursing. "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." (Gen 12:3)

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

JANUARY 11

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Genesis 31:11-32:32

HYMN - # 368 "Did You Think to Pray"

THOUGHT - HAVE YOU WRESTLED WITH GOD IN PRAYER?

VERSE(S) - (Gen 32:24) And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.

ELABORATION - Jacob needed a blessing. He struggled with God all night until he received it. You do not have to fight for salvation. It is freely provided. However, after we are saved, God likes to see our dependence upon Him displayed. Have you prayed today?

VERSE(S) - (Rev 11:15) And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become  the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever  and ever.

ELABORATION - There will be one kingdom (government) one day. That will happen when Jesus returns to this earth to set up His rule. It will NOT happen until that day! Are you ready for His perfect rule?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

VERSE(S) - (Rev 12:5) And she brought forth a man child, who was to  rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God,  and to his throne.

ELABORATION - Yesterday we looked at Christ’s 1,000 year rule on this earth. Today we see that it will be necessary to use a "rod of iron" to do so. Man will reject God’s leadership even in His very presence. Are you prepared to meet your God? (Amos 4:12)

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

THOUGHT - THE VERY FIRST ACT OF GOD’S CREATION WAS LIGHT.

VERSE(S) - (Gen 1:3) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

ELABORATION - The light was for men to see their way with their eyes. Another Light was there that day which gives men the sight to see with their "souls." Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but  shall have the light of life. Have you received that light?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

ELABORATION - Cain the first man born of a man and woman killed his own brother because he had rejected what God required of him in sacrifice. Man has, for 2,000 years plus, been rejecting God’s wonderful sacrifice of His Son. Are you a Cain or an Abel?

VERSE(S) - (Gen 9:13) I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for  a token of a covenant between me and the earth.E

LABORATION - God put the rainbow in the sky to remind us of his love for us. He said he would never judge the world again by a universal flood. He understands that "...man’s heart is evil from his youth..." (Gen 8:21). Instead of judgment He sent His only begotten Son to earth to pay for the sins of man’s evil heart. Have you accepted the payment?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day! Pastor Joe Pagano

JANUARY 4

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Genesis 12-15

HYMN - # 142 "Blessed Redeemer"

THOUGHT - GOD BLESSES THOSE WHO BLESS ABRAHAM AND HIS "SON."

VERSE(S) - (Gen 12:3) And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

ELABORATION - God chose Abraham’s seed as His own and promised to bless those that blessed them and curse those who cursed them. History has shown this truth. God also said that in him all the families of the  earth would be blessed. This was accomplished in his "Son" Jesus Christ. Have you received the blessing?

ELABORATION - There is no possible way that this side of heaven we can fully understand how we could possibly be, "partakers of the divine nature." VERSE(S) - (Gal 1:4)  Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

ELABORATION - To trust Christ as savior is to be delivered from the result of a sinful existence as we now live and to deliver us from the sin cursed world when we abide in heaven in the future.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

DECEMBER 10

HYMN - # 574  "Children of the Heavenly Father"

THOUGHT - THE CHILDREN OF THE KING HAVE ALREADY BEEN BLESSED WITH ALL.

VERSE(S) - (Eph 1:3)  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

ELABORATION - Once we receive Jesus as our savior from our sins we  immediately receive all spiritual blessings in heaven.  Blessings are not something God's children work or wait for - they already have them!

VERSE(S) - (Phil 2:10)  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

ELABORATION - All the confusion will be over some day.  To trust the God and Creator of mankind is to end "religious" confusion right now.  For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. (1 Cor 14:33)

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

DECEMBER 14

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Colossians 1-4

HYMN - # 29  "This Is My Father's World"

THOUGHT - ALL THINGS WERE CREATED BY JESUS AND FOR JESUS.

VERSE(S) - (Col 1:16)  For by him (the Son verse 13) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

ELABORATION - As stated in the December 10 elaboration above Jesus is the Creator of All.  To understand that He created them and they are for His pleasure [Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.(Rev 4:11)] is to fully understand why one must come to Him for salvation.

This Week's Question: _____ The same author wrote 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Colossians and Philippians.  Who was it?

A. Peter   B.  Paul     C.  Cornelius     D.  Gaius   E. Philip

Bible Trivia: Answer: Next week.

REMEMBER TO START YOU DAY WITH THE BIBLE AND PRAY!

MEMORY VERSE(S):
(1 Cor 1:18)  For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

DECEMBER 1

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - 1 Corinthians 1-4

HYMN - # 756 "Cheer Up, Ye Saints of God"

THOUGHT - WHEN ONE TRUSTS CHRIST THEY BECOME A SAINT!

VERSE(S) - (1 Cor 1:2)  Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

ELABORATION - There are religions that go through procedures to make saints of people.  However, when one is saved by the precious blood of Jesus Christ they become a child of God and a saint or sanctified one.  You are then Saint __________.  You fill in the blank.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

DECEMBER 2

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - 1 Corinthians 5-8

HYMN - # 574  "Children of the Heavenly Father"

THOUGHT - BIBLE BELIEVERS SHOULD SETTLE THEIR OWN DIFFICULTIES!

VERSE(S) - (1 Cor 6:1)  Dare any of you, having a matter against another,go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?

ELABORATION - The next verse says that those who are saints "shall judgethe world."  Believers should always take their problems to each otherbefore the Lord.  True believers would prefer to be defrauded (cheated)than act like "worldlings" that are all wrapped up in materialism and flesh.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

DECEMBER 3

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - 1 Corinthians 9-11

HYMN - # 592  "I Love to Tell the Story"

THOUGHT - PREACH THE TRUTH OF ETERNAL LIFE OR WOE IS ME!

VERSE(S) - (1 Cor 9:16)  For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

ELABORATION - The child of God knows the cure for sin "cancer."  Woe be unto the one who does not share that eternal message!

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

DECEMBER 4

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - 1 Corinthians 12-14

HYMN - # 190  "Rejoice, the Lord Is King"

THOUGHT - IT IS HARD TO REJOICE WHEN SOMEONE GETS SOMETHING WE DON'T.

VERSE(S) - (1 Cor 12:26)  And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

ELABORATION - It seems to be human nature to sorrow with others in their griefs.  However, it is contrary to our flesh to rejoice over some one else's "good fortune."  We probable think to ourselves, "how come him and not me?"

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

DECEMBER 5

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - 1 Corinthians 15-16

HYMN - # 186  "And Can It Be"

THOUGHT - THE TRUE GOSPEL IS THE DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION OF
CHRIST!

VERSE(S) - (1 Cor 15:1-4)  Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel . . .{2} By which also ye are saved. . how that Christ died for our sins . . . {4} And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

ELABORATION - The gospel is not feeding the hungry, helping the poor and needy, healing the sick, etc.  The gospel is defined in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 above as the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  The gospel or "good news" is that Jesus paid the supreme price for our sins.  That is the only gospel that take one to heaven.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

DECEMBER 6

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - 2 Corinthians 1-5

HYMN - # 644  "Help Somebody Today"

THOUGHT - GOD SENDS TRIALS TO US SO WE MAY HELP OTHERS IN SIMILAR ONES.

VERSE(S) - (2 Cor 1:4)  Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

ELABORATION - Have you ever heard, "I know what your are going through?"  Although, folks mean well the truly do NOT know.  However, if you have been "through" it yourself you can understand their plight and be an encouragement to them.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

DECEMBER 7

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - 2 Corinthians 6-10

HYMN - # 734  "I Know Who Holds the Future"

THOUGHT - BOAST NOT THYSELF OF TO MORROW; FOR THOU KNOWEST NOT WHAT A DAY MAY BRING FORTH.

VERSE(S) - (2 Cor 6:2)  (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

ELABORATION - The above is a quote of Proverbs chapter 27 and verse 1.  To wait to be saved "tomorrow" when "tomorrow" may never come is a very dangerous thought.  Why not get saved "today' and begin enjoying a personal relationship with God the Father through His Blessed Son, Jesus Christ?

PRAYER Have a GREAT Lord's Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

A. Romulus   B.  Roman Centurion   C.  Peter    D.  Paul

This Week's Question: _____ In what country is the city of Corinth located?

A.  Macedonia   B. Italy C.  Greece   D.  Israel

Bible Trivia: Answer: Next week.

REMEMBER TO START YOU DAY WITH THE BIBLE AND PRAY!

MEMORY VERSE(S):
(Acts 20:24)  But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

NOVEMBER 17

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Acts 10-11

HYMN - # 185 "Jesus Paid it All"

THOUGHT - DEVOTION, FEAR, GIVING & PRAYING DOES NOT RESULT IN HEAVEN!

VERSE(S) - (Acts 10:2,43) (Cornelius) A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway. {43}  To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

ELABORATION - Cornelius was a very "religious" man yet he had to send for Peter to hear the Gospel and receive forgiveness for his sins.  A man's works religious or otherwise will never get him to heaven.  Jesus paid it all and one must receive Him!

PRAYER

Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

NOVEMBER 18

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Acts 12-1

HYMN - # 729  "God Can Do Anything"

THOUGHT - GOD DOES THE IMPOSSIBLE AS LONG AS WE DO THE POSSIBLE!

VERSE(S) - (Acts 12:5-8)  Peter therefore was kept in prison. . . {6} . . .the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains. . . {7} And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him. . .And his chains fell off from his hands. {8} And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

ELABORATION - Peter was bound between two guards.  The angel of God comes in and the chains fall off because there is no way Peter could get them off.  Then Peter has to put on his shoes and garment because he could do that.  Do you serve the God of the impossible?

PRAYER

Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

NOVEMBER 19

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Acts 14-15

HYMN - # 764 "One God and One Mediator"

THOUGHT - THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD AND HE ALONE IS THE TRUE AND LIVING GOD!

VERSE(S) - (Acts 14:8-15)  And there sat a certain man . . . a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked: {9} The same heard Paul speak: who . . . {10} Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. {11} And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying . . .The gods are come down . . . {12} And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius . .  . {13} Then the priest of Jupiter. . . would have done sacrifice. . .{14} . . .Barnabas and Paul. . . ran in among the people, crying out, {15} And saying, Sirs. . .turn from these vanities unto the living God. . .

ELABORATION - These people were excited about the miracle performed on the man lame from birth.  They believed "their god(s)" had done it.  Paul rejected their false beliefs and quickly pointed them to the "living God" and Savior Jesus Christ.

PRAYER

Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

NOVEMBER 20

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Acts 16-17

HYMN - # 498 "Jesus Calls Us"

THOUGHT - WHEN GOD CALLS IMMEDIATE ACTION IS EXPECTED!

VERSE(S) - (Acts 16:9-10)  And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. {10} And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that
the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

ELABORATION - Many a blessing has been missed by God's people because they "dragged their feet."  Immediate obedience is always the best obedience!

PRAYER

Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

NOVEMBER 21

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Acts 18-19

HYMN - # 752 "My God's a Great God"

THOUGHT - THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD AND HE CREATED EVERYTHING ELSE!

VERSE(S) - (Acts 19:26)  Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:

ELABORATION - Man likes to take pride and depend on things he does or made with his hands.  The God of heaven made everything from "nothing." For man to worship himself (made from dust) or things he has made (made from nothing) is indeed a foolish enterprise.

PRAYER

Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

NOVEMBER 22

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Acts 20-21

HYMN - # 40 "We Gather Together"

THOUGHT - SUNDAY IS THE LORD'S DAY!

VERSE(S) - (Acts 20:7)  And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

ELABORATION - Jesus rose on the first day of the week (Mark 16:9); the disciple assembled (met) upon the first day of the week (John 20:19) and tithes were collected upon the first day of the week.  The first day of the week is to be observed by Christians with worship of the resurrected Lord Jesus.  What are you doing this Sunday?

PRAYER

Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

NOVEMBER 23

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Acts 22-23

HYMN - # 769 "I Am the Resurrection"

THOUGHT - GOD IS THE GOD OF THE SUPERNATURAL!

VERSE(S) - (Acts 23:8)  For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.

ELABORATION - If God is not able to do things far above those done by man then what kind of God is He?  As soon as we bring Him down to our level He is no longer God. [That is why the Sadducees were sad you see - smile]  "...His ways past finding out!" (Romans 11:33)

PRAYER

Have a GREAT Lord's Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

NOVEMBER 10

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - John 18-19

HYMN - # 50 " Jesus Wonderful, Lord"

THOUGHT - AND GOD SAID UNTO MOSES, I AM THAT I AM:. . . (Exodus 3:14)

VERSE(S) - (John 18:5-6)  They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. {6} As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

Didymus, . . .said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print
of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust
my hand into his side, I will not believe.

ELABORATION - The Bible says clearly that "without faith it is impossible
to please him:(God)" Hebrews 11:6.  Have you accepted Christ by faith?
He offers full salvation to all who will believe.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

NOVEMBER 12

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Acts 1-2

HYMN - # 723 " Jesus Christ Is The Way"

THOUGHT - GOD'S MESSAGE OF SALVATION THROUGH JESUS CHRIST WAS UNDERSTOOD BY ALL LANGUAGES ON THAT SPECIAL DAY!

VERSE(S) - (Acts 2:4-6)  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, . . .{5} And there were dwelling at Jerusalem . . . men, out of every nation under heaven. {6} . . .every man heard them speak in his own language.

ELABORATION - The tongues heard on the day of Pentecost were known languages.  These first "foreign" missionaries has a message of salvation and a large audience of many peoples and languages.  God provided the ability for all to hear the message in their native tongue.  Thus began the church.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

NOVEMBER 13

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Acts 3-4

HYMN - # 62 "Nor Silver, Nor Gold"

THOUGHT - IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST YOU CAN ARISE FROM THE GRAVE!

VERSE(S) - (Acts 3:6)  Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but
such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise
up and walk.

When He is all in all then the truth prevails and miracles abound.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

NOVEMBER 14

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Acts 5-6

HYMN - # 523 "He Is Able To Deliver Thee"

THOUGHT - SATAN IS ALIVE AND STILL THE LIAR HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN!

VERSE(S) - (Acts 5:3)  But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

ELABORATION - Satan is not to be "toyed" with.  He hates God and all men.  He especially hates true believers.  He is able to distract all from the truth and work of God - Beware - (1 Peter 5:8)

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

NOVEMBER 15

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Acts 7

HYMN - # 249  " The Comforter Has Come"

THOUGHT - THE HOLY GHOST CALLS MEN TO CHRIST - HAVE YOU RESISTED?

VERSE(S) - (Acts 7:51)  Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. ELABORATION - The Bible clearly tells us of the many times man has resisted God's love and protection.  When the Holy Spirit (God) comes to you please do not resist Him.  He loves you and has a very special gift for you.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano

NOVEMBER 16

SCRIPTURE READING FOR THE DAY - Acts 8-9

HYMN - # 85 "The Church of God Is One"

THOUGHT - IF WE DO NOT PRACTICE ACTS 1:8 THEN WE MAY RECEIVE ACTS 8:1.

VERSE(S) - (Acts 8:1)  And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

ELABORATION - We are to reach out to a lost and dying world.  That is God's command.  These folks were staying in Jerusalem and not going out to Judea, Samaria and the uttermost parts of the earth so God brought persecution.

PRAYER Have a GREAT Lord's Day!  Pastor Joe Pagano
